This heat wave is bringing out the animal in me! Fashion may have gone matchy-matchy this season but I felt inspired after a Pinterest sesh to go wild and print clash a (zebra) stripe and cheetah spot combo. Keeping black as my neutral consonant pulled this look together and adding metal hardware toughened it up!
With the UK having such great weather it looks like we'll be getting the most out of our summer wardrobes this year but I've still kept things practical by having a 'just incase' cover up tied around my waist in a 90s knot to take this look from day to night appropriate, and it even doubles as an umbrella if you happen to get caught in a storm!
"Cloudy with a chance of rain"- inspired todays outfit forecast! In the UK the summer weather can be unpredictable so layering is our bestfriend. I took my two key season pieces from Winter and Summer and combined them for the perfect "Rainy summers day" solution.
I don't know about you but I always feel a little silly (or hungover) wearing sunglasses with no sun present, so a fedora can be the perfect alternative to block out those rays and still feel summery. Hang on to your hat though in the wind.. and your skirt for that matter in this case, unless you know how to style out a Marilyn!
I took a change of scenery this week and headed to my mums by the coast for some sun and relaxation! With no current holidays booked for this summer its the closest I'll get to a beach. I can't say I was quite ready to brave the pebbles in a bikini however shorts were a must! Although my colour palette screamed less than "holiday", obviously I'm still in city mode with this three shades of grey combo. I'll just have to imagine soaking up that sun and sea, prancing around in a kimono and monokini ensemble with mojito in hand...If only!
I may still have to pack this trench coat though surely? It's too perfect not to. When Primark get it right.. they get it RIGHT!
(I won't even stun you with the price!)
Last month I featured the Monki vertical striped jumper, this month its all about the vertical stripe trousers! And whether you're a cigarette, flare or palazzo pant kind of girl Zara have supplied, as always.
Honestly, I want them all! But I know this pair will take me right through to Autumn / Winter styled with an oversized turtle neck knit and loafers or glammed up for date night paired with a pointed-toe heel and a silk shirt.
Speaking of date night, my boyfriend-come-newly-forced-photographer took these shots of me whilst we were out in London so big thanks to him for doing such a good job and hopefully if you like these I might do a "Rumi" and hire him as my official beau-tographer or maybe "Bae-tographer" would be more current, I'm sure he'd just love that!...
