Outfit | Going Girly.

Sunglasses // Topshop.
Cardigan // Primark.
Bralet // Topshop.
Midi Skirt // Asda.
Necklaces // h&m.
Heels // Zara.
Clutch // Zara.

You may recognise this skirt from my previous post Summer Outfits sorted for under £50. I couldn't believe the price for such a key summer piece! So during my weekly shop at Asda I had to have a nose to see the items I featured in the flesh, and trust me George haven't compromised on quality. The cotton and mesh fabrics are thick and fall beautifully just below the knee; a great length for the petite girls that want to wear midi's without cutting your legs short further. Which also means it can still be worn with flats without creating the same scenario.
I however decided to go ultra girly for once and get the full 50's effect with heels, That Topshop crop top and bright lip! As always though keeping a modern edge on things with this seasons pastel palette.

Outfit | Striped Naked

Coat // Missguided.
T-shirt // Primark.
Lace Bralet // h&m. (similar)
Skirt // h&m.
Ankle boots // Kurt Geiger.
Bag // Daniels Footwear*

Anything sheer seriously has my attention at the moment! Its the perfect way to still be able to layer in the hotter summer months, and thanks to the comeback of bralets and crop tops in pretty prints and delicate laces its never been so appropriate to flash your bra!
Keeping with the 90's theme I wore a choker; one of the biggest micro-trends to come out of this season, accessories wise. And a faux-leather mini I scanned every h&m to find my size in, but well worth the mission for the perfect wardrobe staple, "real-look" leather, highwaisted skirt at the bargain price of £14.99! Get searching for yours!

Outfit | Gingham army

Army Jacket // Vintage.
White Cami // Zara.
Gingham trousers // Glamorous*
cleated sole sandals // Linzi.
Nude bag // Zara.
Mirrored Sunglasses // & Other Stories.
Lips // Boujois Rouge Edition Velvet in 03.

Gingham is probably the most unlikely staple print to come out of this Spring / Summer season, after popping up on the Balmain catwalk you'd be a fool not to have already bought into this trend. The most favoured option being the highwaisted trousers; they can be worn a multitude of ways depending on your personal style, be it girly or grunge.
I toughened mine up with a military khaki jacket and chunky sandals but kept things summery with a cute white cami, orange lip and my item of the month these & Other Stories mirrored sunglasses that I'd been literally hunting down (on 'The Hunt' app) after seeing them on a streetstyle image, and low and behold came up trumps at a bargain £12!

Outfit | Butter wouldn't melt...

Jumper // Missy Empire*
Skirt // Glamorous*
cleated sole sandals // Glamorous*
Vintage Jean Jacket // Levi
Bag // Daniel Footwear*

Branching a little out from those crisp white head-to-toe outfits that we've seen in abundance this Spring, I've been edging towards the more off-white buttery shades recently. There's something a little comforting about the slightly warmer tone and knowing there's a tad more camouflage for stains if you happen to spill your coffee in the mid-morning rush!
I first picked up on the beauty of this tonal layering in River Island where I instagrammed their white brushed oversized sweatershirt against the cream cropped leather biker jacket. However here I have styled a similar look with Missy Empires' off-white fisherman knit jumper and a sheer white maxi skirt from Glamorous. Super afforable and on-trend!

I first locked eyes on this vertical stripe sweater in Monki a couple of months back and regretted not leaving with it the moment I got home. Fortunately on returning at the weekend my luck was in and there it was 1 x Small in all its glory, waiting for me! I feel a Buble song coming on...

Outfit | Dress down with Missy Empire

Bomber Jacket // Sheer Panel White Dress // White cleated sole Sandals // Black Minimal Bag

You may have already seen a lot of this figure hugging, skin baring style of dress gracing the curves of those insta-babes.. dressed up and ready for a night on the town. However you may not have seen it dressed down with a bomber jacket and chunky sandals for a trip to Asda (I kid you not) you never know who you might meet ladies *wink*.
I could have chosen to style this Missy Empire dress in your typical glam "heels and clutch bag" combo but more recently I've been questioning my dress purchases in particular considering I'll probably only want one wear out of it before its deemed "OMG hasn't she worn that already?!". Maybe its my outfit-conscious mind going into overdrive but I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting a new outfit for that next big night out. So here's the only suitable solution, I still need new dresses (obvs) but I need to be able to style them daytime appropriately too. two for one if you like! That means anything too sparkly or revealing doesn't fit the value for money bill over midi styles that can be layered with sweaters or a shirt under a skater dress. Your thoughts are as good as mine on how I'm going to manage this more recent unsensible buy from Missguided.. not quite sure how well my decolletage will go down at the fresh produce counter!

All Missy Empire items are 20% off with code "MISSY20" and free UK delivery so I've picked out some of my fav's from the site below.

Sheer co-ord // Faux-leather laser cut midi skirt // Brushstroke Varsity Tee
